Collections may be an investment. The stamps, coins, paper money and other stuff featured in our collection ( pls check out http://angelas-collections.blogspot.com , http://angelas-store.blogspot.com and our othe links ) may increase in value in the future. Actually, some of them already have. As an example, Gold coins bought about two to three years ago have appreciated by about 20% as seen from recent internet auctions and selling prices from dealers.
Just like any other investment, there are risks. The hoped for appreciation in value may not happen at all and may even decrease in value. Faulty storage sometimes can render items much less valuable. We collect mostly as hobbyists. Whatever gains we may make through trading however are very welcome perks.
Investment Blog. This blog is seen to be our way of discussing, recording, documenting and exploring different investing opportunities / avenues. Different investment instruments and the investment climate in the Philippines will be considered. Emphasis on practical financial investing in the Capital Markets will be given so that they may be applied in personal investing activities.
Invest in the Philippines. The savings rate in the Philippines sorely lags behind from that of our asian neighbors and leaves a lot to be desired. This is one of the reason why they seem to be leading our economy. We believe that each one of us can contribute not only to the improvement of our country but also in the betterment of our individual lots through education.
We hope to learn from our investing journey and ultimately make money work for us through prudent investment decisions.
